For this sunroom, my client was looking to create a space where she could connect with friends, sit quietly with a good book, and have her morning tea all while bringing the outdoors in. But most of all, she wanted to reflect and slow down to experience deep joy and connection.

Almost immediately (for me) the sunroom became the “Hummingbird Room”- a name and a symbol that immediately and reliably evoked that feeling of joy. I incorporated Alexander McQueen’s whimsical hummingbird fabric and tapestry to symbolize and deepen the experience in the artwork and pillows, and then created a space to further envelop her in that feeling of joy (sculptures from her travels), freedom (humming birds) and connection (four comfortable chairs configured around a central ottoman).

The end result is a light-filled room designed for reflection and connection.

Butterflies symbolize transformation, renewal, hope, life and often new beginnings (and a bunch of other things according to what you Google).

This bathroom is one of my very favorite spaces I’ve ever designed. I was given total creative license here, other than some functional input from my clients (large enough to accommodate two people - hubby & wife - without getting in each other’s way, a place for him to sit while she takes a bath and they talk, a vanity area for her, a shower for two, and a private and functional "water closet").

Functionally we begin our day in our bathrooms, so, I was intentionally using this canvas to set the tone for the day. I designed it so that from the moment my clients walked in, the unfolding of the day began - flowers unfurling and butterflies taking flight, conveying a feeling of openness and freedom, a mosaic that travels up the walls to windows that open into the lush outside world, the ceiling painted in venetian plaster to look like a blue sky, mirrors that expand the space and reflect the infinity within us and a unique sculptural chandelier that dazzles in both the daytime as well as the evening,

A kaleidoscope of rich textures, tones and patterns come together in this two story library. Engaging curiosity and calm at once, this space allows you to slow down and take it all in.

This space was designed not only to house an incredible wine collection, but also to pair great wine with great friends. With its old world charm and moody vibe, you can enter down the spiral staircase from the library above or through a croc clad hallway on the basement level. Either way you enter, you’re immediately transported to another time and place.

This formal dining room is layered in texture with a metallic mix of finishes and patterns. Designed with a custom square dining table that expands to seat 12 guests, this space is the perfect place for an intimate dinner party.

The heart of the home. That’s what they say about kitchens, and they’re 100% right- especially here. This kitchen was designed for a busy family of five as well as for extended family gatherings and hosting parties and events.

Complete with two expansive islands for prepping, an in-island snack and beverage refrigerator for the kids, and a large separate pantry, function and flow was paramount.

Badass clients. Cozy atmosphere. My clients wanted this great room to feel warm, inviting and comfortable. A place where their fam of four and two pups could lounge and chill together while watching tv or sitting in front of the fire, but also where family and friends can gather outside of the kitchen.

A deep sectional, woven stools, and custom built-in media unit come together to create the perfect space for movie watching. A leather chair and ottoman in a reading nook, plus a cool spot in front of the fire, complete the vibe.

When designing this kitchen, my clients asked for a table that could seat 12, so that’s what we did. This gorgeous custom table extends with self storing leaves to accommodate quite the squad. Reclaimed wood beams and cladding on the ceiling, custom light fixtures, and an amazing pantry hidden behind a sliding barn door complete the look. Oh, and an island that’s made for dancing ;)

I love designing cozy spaces to curl up and read a good book in. Or to nap in. Or to have a glass of wine…or two.

With such gorgeous natural light and vaulted ceilings, this room practically designed itself. Reclaimed trusses and shades of creamy whites come together to create a tranquil, open and inviting space to relax, unwind and entertain.

A fresh and fun guest bath that was designed around a vintage console sink that my clients had. With plenty of room for guest towels and extras, guests will have everything they need for a relaxing stay.

A commercial restroom doesn’t have to be boring. At Thrive Medicine in Houston, a regenerative medicine clinic, this dark and moody space is modern, unique and unexpected.

Thrive Medicine is a trailblazing health clinic and sanctuary for transformation at 802 W. 18th Street in Houston Heights, TX to expertly guide patients to optimal health through an integrative approach from regenerative medicine to preventative and performance medicine.

This project was a 2 year ground-up journey from concept through completion. And every step of the way was incredible! My clients wanted a space that engages the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest) creating an environment that envelopes their clientele in wellness. Using natural materials, biophilic design, water elements and eco-friendly materials, this clinic sets the bar for the new face of modern medicine.

In a great room of this size, a fireplace has the power to ground the space. A natural material like stone, used here, can bring the outside in and add texture, scale and verticality to a space.

Our outdoor patios are extended living spaces for family and friends. Creating a cozy seating area in front of an incredible outdoor fireplace gave this Connecticut family three seasons to enjoy the outdoors in the Northeast.

Who doesn’t love a good window seat? Especially in a guest room. Enveloped in grasscloth with a mango colored pendant above that casts the most beautiful light, this is the perfect spot for guests to read or collect their thoughts.

My clients wanted a bathroom that felt like a spa; a place to reset and renew after a busy day. A soft palette of whites and linens sets the stage for serenity along with a jetted soaking tub where they can steep their cares away.

Craft and hobby rooms are great spaces to add bold colors and fun patterns. There are no rules when it comes to creativity!

Designed to awaken the senses and invigorate the spirit, for the cryotherapy room at Thrive Medicine in Houston I was inspired by the powder whites, ice-scape and chill of the arctic. At a beginner’s setting of -166 degrees, this chamber is not for the faint of heart!

One of the biggest (and most exciting) risks I’ve taken in my career was installing a 13 1/2 foot dome into a pitched ceiling and having it painted to look exactly like a pair of antique globes that my clients purchased. I had a challenge ahead of me when the four corners of the space were left blank after installation of the dome so I incorporated the four zodiac signs of the family and had them painted into the design. The globes sit on the first floor of this library and the ceiling on the second story is certainly the star of the show. Best. Project. Ever.

Sometimes simplicity is the most intimate. In this casual dining area, my clients wanted connection and nature as the most important setting.

Powder rooms are the jewel boxes of the home. They give us a chance to evoke any vibe from dark and moody to light and airy - and anything in between. No rules apply here. So in this powder room my clients wanted refined elegance and drama.

The walls were finished in a metallic gold venetian plaster to add texture and movement around the custom Italian vanity and tea-stained capiz shell mirror which provide a focal point for the room. Best of all, the lighting in the room creates beautiful shadows and shapes to add to the drama.

When my clients took up surfing on a family vacation in Hawaii they knew it would become an integral part of their lives. One way to bring that feeling back home with them was to create a surf room on the basement level of their home where they could be enveloped by the colors and textures of the waves.

For this formal living room my clients wanted to use an existing sofa and chairs that they brought with them from their prior home. Often this can be challenging, but in this case reupholstering the sofa in a platinum chenille and adding custom throw pillows paired with artistic modern pieces created the perfect vibe for tranquility and grace.

On the third floor of this home there’s plenty of room for pillow fights and sleepovers. Complete with built-in bunk beds that sleep eight, a media room with comfy modular seating, a craft room and an art-filled play space, why would anyone ever leave home?

Up close and personal in front of a roaring fire, this intimate seating area checks all the boxes for a warm conversation and fireside beverage.

My clients wanted a guest suite that was fun, comfortable and unique with a splash of whimsy. An oversized chandelier, playing with pattern and texture, and a bold palette created just that.

An entryway is the invitation to the home. It greets your guests and welcomes your family and friends, all while setting the tone for the unfolding of the experience ahead.

We took this Connecticut kitchen from mid-century meh to mid-century modern with a full reno including a stunning custom walnut table base, built-in banquet and artsy accents.

The perfect spot to snuggle up for a favorite movie or gather in front of the fire, this Connecticut great room was designed for togetherness.

For this Doctors’ office, the bison with its strength and resilience couldn’t be a more fitting piece. If anything embodies the true spirit of the practice, this is it.

When my client asked for a home office that feels like an oasis of calm inside of her hectic day, we delivered just that. Soft blues and neutrals against a gorgeous grasscloth backdrop created the perfect vibe to work surrounded in serenity.

Don’t grow up, it’s a trap. Designing for young people means taking into account their growth and need for personal expression. In this bedroom, a simple change of bedding can create a completely different feeling as personal style changes.

Designing for health and wellness is a deep passion of mine. So when I embarked on this journey to create the red light therapy room for Thrive Medicine in Houston, TX, I knew I wanted to create an experience that would leave a lasting impression.

Moody, dramatic and sexy as all get out, this living room brings the vibes. Layered in texture and designed for comfort, she’s not just here to seduce you, she’s all about making you feel at home.

Mud or no mud, I love designing multipurpose, functional spaces. This one has a built-in bench for removing shoes, a generous cabinet with a cubby and shoe drawer for each awesome kid, a spacious island for unpacking boxes and dropping groceries from the garage, and a second stackable washer and dryer. Bring on the mud!

I’m a full believer that an entryway holds the power to set the tone for the entire living experience you want. It’s the opening chapter to your home’s narrative, where style meets story-and not just for you and your family, but everyone who enters.

Designed for our clients’ mamas, this boutique hotel-inspired suite is all about serene luxury-soft textures, rich layers, and just the right amount of glam.

It’s layered, cozy, moody in all the right ways-and totally ready for family movie nights and grown-up hangs. Just awaiting a few final touches but it was too good not to share!
